    Default Savage 320 questions

My dad is looking at buying a Savage 320.

From what I've been able to dig up, it appears that it is a Winchester 1300 clone. Is that correct? Will Winchester furniture fit?

The model he's looking at has a field stock and both an 18½" and a 28" barrel.
According to Cabelas, the field barrel will take Winchokes. Do Invector chokes utilize the same thread pattern? As I see some Winchester guns take both.

Does anyone know where this gun is made? Am I correct in assuming Turkey? Although the price reflects more of a gun built in China.

Does anyone have personal experience with the 320?

    Thank you.

Savage/Stevens 320 shotguns are a Winchester 1300 clone produced in China by Norinco and imported through Canada by Savage Arms. The American Riflemen did a pretty good write-up of them.

Sweet. That's good news. I love my Norinco (H&R).
I've handled Mavericks. They seem so cheaply made.
The first reply worried me as I thought wow. That must be really bad. Lol

On paper the Savage seems solid.
$230 bucks for a combo barrel setup seems like a great deal.
    Thanks!
