Gun Buyback in Pittsburgh - Sat Sept 21
http://bloomfield-garfield.org/publi...y/gun-buyback/
Anyone planning on setting up to try to buy anything before they get turned in?

I'll be there with a couple dozen Orams donuts!
I love how they ask people to potentially break the law by asking that they not unload the guns if they aren't familiar. Nothing like driving around with (potentially) loaded long guns.Proud to be a Longwall pig...

Looks like it would be easy to talk to people going in, since there's no parking lot and the entrance is right on the street. Anyone know where the nearest FFL is? Braverman's?
Definitely not the safest neighborhood, though, north of Penn Ave.

Re: Gun Buyback in Pittsburgh - Sat Sept 21
I'm game. I think it would be fun, and I might score a nice gun or two.
$250 for an "assault-style" weapon; I'd gladly pay $350 - $400 for an AK or AR. I'm also looking for a good cheap .30-06 bolt-action. Would definitely want a bill of sale with ID, though.
Anyone else seriously thinking about going? And can I put in an order for an Oram's belly buster?

I don't think I have anything planned for that weekend, so I may just venture down to see what shows up. Especially if there's Oram's being offered

Man, I am really tempted to take the POS Rohm RG10 .22 that's sitting in my safe. They'd get a cold-blooded killing machine off the streets and I'd get a Visa card worth 100x more than the gun is worth. Win-win.

I know a dealer that takes all his Lorcin/Jennings/Bryco/HiPoints and crappy single shots to these buybacks! Great way to get $100 each for guns that aren't worth their weight in shit.
