    Default "less lethal"

I'm thinking the forum could use a non firearm self defense area. I obviously understand the point of this forum, I think a h2h/knives/baseball bat section for the uh oh self defense scenario may be a decent idea. Maybe even an improvised weapon section. There are times I find myself without firearm for whatever reason in which I could think back to something.
    Input?

Not a bad idea to be aware of other options. I was taught in a real "fight" situation it was anything that isn't nailed down! Many everyday items are dangerous if used properly such as tools like screwdrivers, hammers, crowbars, longhandled ratchet/breaker bar, big wrenches or anything with an edge, scissors, many sporting goods items like baseball bats, cue sticks, billiard balls. One of the nastiest improvised weapons I have seen used is a motorcycle helmet swung by a chin strap. Then you move to the kitchen and have rolling pins, iron or cast aluminum skillets or small kettles even long handled meat forks. The possibilities are endless but useless if you don't have the mindset and determination to use them. The most important weapon we have even when we are carrying our favorite firearm of choice is still our mind.

I have a Louisville Slugger by my bed which I can easily use to drop a 250lb intruder with a crack to the kneecap (minimal strength required on my part).

Guarantee he will be incapacitated and cry like a baby as I dial 911.

Unless he's hopped up on meth, dust or some other pain masking drug.

Whats up with stun guns (not to be confused with projectile tasers). Seems like a very fine line between what is legal in Philadelphia

I would not define knives or baseball bats as less lethal.
