    Default Saiga 12 question

    Simple question: Does the Saiga 12 magazine fed shotgun have a feed ramp into the chamber?

    Just checked mine, and I don't see one. The chamber opening is slightly beveled, but nothing that I would consider a feed ramp.

    The shells sit in the magazine at an angle such that when the bolt strips a shell from the mag as it closes, the round goes into battery without catching. Anything slightly off will be guided by the bevel.

    FWIW, I've never had a problem with failures to feed or extract with the S-12.

    Nope, only unmodified rifle mags have them.
