Re: Wild hog hunting in PA?
I'm looking for the same thing. I would like to hunt some hogs and put some food in the freezer, but I don't have $750 for a guided tour. I don't really want a guide either. So if anyone knows of somewhere to go I would greatly appreciate the info. Thanks

Re: Wild hog hunting in PA?
I would love to have one for the meat. I am disabled and can't walk in to the woods to hunt but if you want to get rid of one that you killed I can be there in about 2 hours from york. Thank you slim

Re: Wild hog hunting in PA?
If you've ever seen a large boar/pig that gets mixed in with his russian cousin, you'll think twice about the highpowered stuff. Most of the feral pigs you see in the wild aren't that big, but the Russian and mixed ones can be big and tough. They have alot of grissel (sp?) around their necks and shoulders to protect themselves from the other males tusks during a fight.
I'm not saying you can't hunt them with a flintlock or a bow or whatever..... do your thing. I'll stick to the .44 Mag lever action with wadcutters/ cast bullets. My opinion, of course......I don't watch shark week. Sharks watch FLICK week.
