    Am I understanding the more recent posts correctly that the park now has metal detectors at the gates that visitors must pass through to enter the park?

    Yes - they didn't seem too concerned with anything other than bags. Me and my LCP waltzed right through.

    Correct, they just recently built a new entrance, with built in detectors, supposed to be "improved" security, but like most it's only security theater, to keep the sheep calm.

    Reread it. I have the email that says it is fine; but they request CC so they do not have to deal with whining out of staters. They also request you donít let you weapon in the bathroom.

    Weapons are banned at the campground.
