Re: Police Seize Weapons After Obama Visit To Scranton
I would love to know what these "threats" were. I would hope that if a SWAT team was kicking in someones door, detaining them, and seizing weapons and ammo, there better had been a clear and present, valid, and substantial threat to warrant this. But then again, its the government, this guy probably could have just circulated an anti-obama email, but i guess if they got a warrant idk..

10 blocks from where I used to live. 8 miles from Scranton. I, too, would like to hear what the threats were. I know all threats need to be taken seriously...but sometimes I like to hear just how far off the bow some of these shots are.

Intimidation, harassment, and confiscation of weapons from individuals who speak out against his regime would be the icing on the cake of this corrupt government. Like I said, they rightfully should have done this if these so called threats were valid, but given what our government does these days...Lets just say I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, this guy's address from the story is about 8 miles from where Obama was in Scranton. I wonder if any of the seized weapons were artillery pieces? If not, I doubt he was a real threat.
I don't care how much you may not like the current one (or ones in the past for that matter). I think it moronic to threaten the US President.
I wonder how credible the threat was for the authorities to take such action.
With that said, I live near Scranton, and I would not want my city thrown in the same category as Washington DC (x2), Dallas, or Buffalo.

maybe he was pissed off from having had to sit in all the traffic created by the PSP closing all the exit/entrance ramps along 81 as the motorcade went through. I know someone who said they sat in traffic for at least 30 minutes.
