Un-happy Sheriff Deputy
I was at the recycling center on Saturday. I was open carrying like I usually do. There was an off duty Deputy there. He asked what I got out carrying like that? So I told him He said i was crazy for doing it. So I asked him what was the Sheriff dept. response time. He responded 5 minutes or less I laughed at him. Then he got pissed. I told I had almost 30yrs with one of the Counties Vol Fire dept. and I know what there response time is. He beat a hasty retreat to his vehicle and left.
I always stressed to my son"one shot one kill that was all that is needed". When He came home from Marine Corp Boot camp He was telling me about the Marines stressing "ONE SHOT ONE KILL" He looks at me and the light bulb went on Dad was now a whole lot smarter than he was 13 weeks ago.

Re: Un-happy Sheriff Deputy
Even if it were 5 minutes, that's about 4m50s too long when it's an emergency.

5 minutes is an eternity in an emergency.

When seconds count they are minutes away. I would of told him he's too heavy vs the pistol.
