    Default S&W SAFETY NOTICE

I just received this S&W notice from Davidsons:

To All Smith & Wesson Customers:
Smith & Wesson is in the process of announcing a Safety Alert relating to the lower trigger on M&P Shield pistols. We should be in a position to provide you with more details as to the scope of the affected pistols in a few days. In the meantime, please stop all sales and shipments of M&P Shield pistols pending further notice. We appreciate your assistance in ensuring that the products we provide to customers meet our high standards for quality and safety.

So here is the thread that people can add to as more info comes out about this.

Whats up with S&W with their triggers. S&W owns T/C and they just recalled all their Icons, Ventures and Dimension rifles for the safety might go to the fire position just by working the bolt. Any accidental discharge that results in death I would assume S&W would have some splanin to do.

Oh yeah? Well I checked the trigger on my 9mm Shield so many times last night that I wore it out and have to send it to S&W for Lifetime Warranty Repair. So there.
