Moving from DPRMD
Greetings!
I just bought a house in PA and we go to settlement in November (maybe sooner). I am moving from MD and wanted to know if anyone can tell me what are the wait times for a LTCF from York county and can I use my Utah permit until then?
Appoligies if this is a dupe. I did a search and didnt find anything.

Re: Moving from DPRMD
First, IANAL
Once you become a PA resident, you simply go to the sheriff's office in the county you live in and apply for a LTCF. as long as you don't have a criminal record, you should have one in 20 minutes or less.
You can use a Utah permit here in PA. check here http://www.pafoa.org/law for details.

Some counties take up to 45 days, some are 15 minutes. The majority are somewhere in between it seems.

Re: Moving from DPRMD
Folks are reporting a 2-3 day wait these days, seems the Sheriff's office can't quite handle the volume of applications.
Get your PA driver's license, then your PA LTCF. Might want to make Utah aware of your new address as well.
It's just a tad early, but welcome to PA and PAFOA.While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

^Agreed. Once all your information is up to date, you can expect to receive your LTCF in about 3 days. Glad to see someone escaping that state alive....welcome.

Re: Moving from DPRMD
I believe Utah requires you to have a license/permit from the state you live in,,,,, so,,, would that make your Utah license invalid until you get the PA LTCF? Yes,,,, I know,,, a technicality,,,,but I wouldn't carry until I got the new one.
