There you go. I know about them but I've never gone to check them out. I need to remember to go when fall hits and leaves drop.

I also like the history of the Doan gang. They say there's a cave they used located in Ralph Stover state park. I've hiked through there a few times and know of rock formations that could provide shelter, but not what I'd call a cave. Maybe it's just the definition.

    Good stuff, keep it coming.

hat church on upper mountain rd was the scene of a very gruesome murder (unsolved, I think) in the 70's. Inquirer ran a series on it earlier this year, or late last year. Disembowelment, and a suspect, but no arrests. That Church was a stop on the 'underground railroad' as was the house on Lower Mountain Road, on the bottom of the mountain through the swamp and across the tracks. House belongs to the Philadelphia Baptist Association now, and the Church still holds services a couple times a year. Not sure what denomination the Church is. It was rumored to be Satanists, but that was false.

When I was a freshman in high school there was a girl in Bucks that would bang anybody that threw water on her shirt. I couldn't drive at that age and once I got stranded with a guy in the middle of the night that made me accompany him peeping on his ex girlfriend and then on a horse that liked to bang cows.

That's way creepier than a bump in the night, a shadow that cries out and disappears, or a light in the sky.

It was in my paper, then that was in the trash can, then into a red truck, I'm guessing a landfill......

The Intelligencer.. I'll do a search and see if it's archived.
    Found it: http://www.phillyburbs.com/news/loca...d1ebdbd9b.html
