Pa Constitution Article X sec 2.
Private corporations which have accepted or accept the Constitution of this Commonwealth or the benefits of any law passed by the General Assembly after 1873 governing the affairs of corporations shall hold their charters subject to the provisions of the Constitution of this Commonwealth.
Can someone explain this? Does this mean corporations in are subject to the state constitution?

It doesn't mean that WalMart is restricted by the Bill of Rights.
The same Pa Constitution also says:
Compensation for Property Taken by Corporations Under Right of Eminent Domain
Section 4.
Municipal and other corporations invested with the privilege of taking private property for public use shall make just compensation for property taken, injured or destroyed by the construction or enlargement of their works, highways or improvements and compensation shall be paid or secured before the taking, injury or destruction.

Not in the sense that I think you are asking, no.
My non-scholarly read is that it means that corporations hold their charters subject to the terms of incorporation provided for in the PA constitution, which are relatively minimal. Notice that it comes right after the dissolution of archaic corporate charters. It's a way of making clear that no corporation can claim to be outside the constitution just because its incorporation predated the current form of the constitution.I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.
