Default HB2910: Gun Violence Prevention and Reduction Act of 2013

The text of HR2910 is in. The bill (if passed) would outlaw the advertising and sale of any parts kit that falls under their definitions of an 'assault weapon' ...

What they have done is throw this into a massive bill that is 90% about mental health care. They have also added language at the end to say 'nothing in this section shall be construed to authorize any type of advocating gun control' (paraphrasing) hoping it would appease pro gun representatives.

Since Aug. 1 this house bill appears to be passed around from committee to workforce like the rotten egg and political suicide tool that it is.

They spend a lot of time talking about machine guns in that bill.

Don't they realize it's already a felony offense to convert an existing firearm to full automatic or to build a new machine gun? Or are they doing this to effectively ban the RDIASes?

Hopefully Pat Toomey will treat it like a rotten egg too.

what a crap bill to say they "did something" about mental health issues. All it does is give out more money we don't have for loans and grants to the mental health medical field and make shrinks ask if they own firearms. I thought it was already a requirement for medical personnel to report violent threats? But hey what do I know i'm not "educated". lol
