Default Colorado Apartment Complex Bans Guns

    http://www.9news.com/news/article/34...s%7Cbc%7Clarge

Retired Marine Art Dorsch says his Second Amendment rights are in danger.

His apartment complex, the Oakwood Apartments in Castle Rock, sent out a notice telling all residents to get rid of their guns.

The 77-year-old retired US Marine Corps veteran sent a newstip to 9Wants to Know saying he's afraid he'll be homeless if he doesn't comply.

The letter went out to residents on August 1 and says they have until October 1 to comply with updated "community policies."

On page 2 is a brand new provision saying "firearms and weapons are prohibited."
Does "go fuck yourself" fit nicely as the body of a reply letter?

Now that's just stupid. They really want to lose money and tenants over this? My apartment had one of those "no firearms on the property" rules hidden in the lease agreement, and I told them I would not sign it unless they added an addendum to allow me to carry/store/use my firearms on the property.

They agreed, but I don't think this guy will be so lucky.

Sounds like a very fitting reply to me!

I would definitely not want to live in a place like that. Advertising to criminals: "BREAK INTO ANY APARTMENT HERE PLEASE"

I'd be homeless, but not defenseless.

They have no way of knowing who has guns or not. This is unenforceable like the recent Colorado mag limits.

The firearms should be locked in a safe or at least a locked all metal gun cabinet so they are out of sight, and secure.

Don,t worry...there are plenty of libs out there who would rent a death trap in a gun free apartment complex.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.
