    Hay Mike,

I spoke to Snert the other day and it looks like he can swing a trip Monday. So, when do you want to meet up? I have a service call in the morning, but can meet you guys around 10:30.

I picked up a gorgeous CZ 452 Varmint from Chris at Advanced last night!

After I got it home I ran a few patches through the bore and lubed everything, mounted the rings and scope, and bore sighted it. I got to the range today, mounted the bipod and run about 100 rounds of Winchester White Box 36gr Hollows down range to break it in a bit and get used to the trigger. My best 10 round groups were something like an inch or so, but I hope to tighten them up after I get used to it and switch to better ammo.

Next time I’ll try some CCI 40gr Standard Velocity rounds.

OK, anyone a go for tomorrow? I’m still going. Either PM me or call in AM, if I don’t hear from you guys, I’ll be at 183 around 10:30 or Dyeberry if that’s the consensus.

Well how did it go? Sorry I missed this one. That's one accurate rifle you've got there! Big scope too lol.

The scope is off my Marlin, a Bushnell 4-12X40 AO. It’s good enough for shooting dimes at 50 yards, but I’m thinking about getting something like 24X or 36X for shooting bench rest targets.

I need to break in the trigger a bit more and have been trying different ammo through it. The bolt is a bit tight, but I guess it will get better also. I keep getting those flyers that mess up a good looking group, but I am noticing my groups tightening up. So far, my 5 and 10 shot groups are averaging the size of a quarter or so at 50 yards. The Marlin does better.

While talking to 2 Conservation officers at the range on Saturday. They explained to me that the Shotgun ranger will be closed for good. They said they closed it after several warnings to people to clean up after themselves. They said that people were bringing television and computer monitors and other household items and shooting them up and not cleaning up. They got tired of cleaning it up. So ,they closed it. Funny thing is that they also informed me that it was never officially a shotgun range. people started useing as such and the state really stopped it till now.

As of this weekend the range on SGL 183 is closed for lead redemption work.

With alittle luck with the weather, hopefully the range will reopen in mid to late October.thats a BIG MAYBE.
