So the rumor is true about the shotgun range...what a shame. I also heard about the lead reclamation as well. I enjoyed the shotgun range. Too bad I guess. NJ's will still shoot the shit out of the backstops on the rifle and pistol range....of course with their shotguns.

The "field"where everyone shot trap is permanently closed.

It was never an "offical" shotgun site.

The local QDMA chapter is in the final process of putting in a food plot.

There are alot of slobs on this range, mostly weekenders.

I've been faithfully going to the range every Wednesday since March 2007 cleaning up the range of all the litter.

In a few weeks the range will be closed for approx.1 1/2-2 months for lead cleanup.

I read that Pocono Manor has sporting clays. It's a little expensive $10/rd for weekends $8 during the week. It's off of Bushkill rd.

The shotgun range is closed indefinately.

The range on SGL 300 will close July 23 for lead redemption for 4-6 weeks.

The range SGL 183 will close July 29 for lead redemption for the same amount of time.

Pocono Manor off Bushkill Rd? I can’t find it on Yahoo Yellow Pages, the only Pocono Manor listed is off 314.

Charlie- Where are we going shooting once the range closes? Dyeberry is a haul for you but that's probably where I'll end up.

    Wow, that sucks…

I was thinking about trying Archbald and Gouldsboro, both are about 55 miles and a little over an hour drive. I hadn’t thought about Dyeberry, but I guess I will try it out, I’m not quite sure where it is other than north of Honesdale, It’s probably 1 ½ hour drive though.

I’ve been thinking about a new rifle maybe a CZ452 or 453 Varmint in .22, or something in .223 for a little more range.

I know a .22 is a challenge at 100 yards, but a lot of fun, a .223 would be fun at 200 yards but a lot more expensive with ammo. That might decide where I need to shoot it.

I guess we need to get a little more range time at 183 before it closes.

Ya....223 ammo is getting up there in price..Well everything is for that matter. Dyeberry is worth the trip. It's about 25-30 mins from 183. We'll get something going eventually.
