    Default Another Misguided Politician!

Get a load of this "Letter to the Editor" in the Philadelphia Northeast Times from State Rep. Kevin Boyle!

    "Stop expanding gun rights

Regarding the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case, I grew up in a part of the city of Philadelphia where fistfights among men in their teens and 20s were fairly common. What was not common was for the loser of the fight to pull out a gun and end the life of the other young man.

Unfortunately, this decision underscores the growing trend of state governments expanding the legal rights of citizens to use their guns. This will only have more unnecessary and deadly consequences."

    State Rep. Kevin Boyle

Excuse me, but limiting the rights of lawful gun owners only limits our ability to defend ourselves and expands the ability for criminals to do us harm!

Unfortunately it is nothing surprising. We have politicians, just like citizens, who cannot think for themselves. Step off that party line and they will bitch slap you back into submission.

I say no more consecutive terms period. It stops campaigning while in office and makes sure nobody wins just because the are the incumbent.

Better point out to Mr. Boyle that beating someone within an inch of their life is something Mr. Martin will no longer have the "right" to do.

Of course, he doesn't seem to have a problem with people maintaining that "right". Only self defense should be restricted...

You know what's not as common now as back then?

Honor and character. Its never a fair fight these days. Thus the need for a defensive firearm.

Your 100% right. Now a days people want to get up in your face scream, yell and humiliate you. The minute they think you are going to call them on it or put your hands up to defend yourself then they pull a weapon. But like always blame all legal gun owners its just easier that way.

My morality meter was called Dad. Dad wore a size 16 and quarter inch ring on his finger with fists to match lol. And he would wield that morality with precision and pain hehe

Never took that much for me.
I had a great childhood, and I developed a well rounded moral compass.

"I grew up in a culture where assault was the norm, and self defense was for burly men who could give and take an ass kicking. If you were small, weak, female, etc., then you didn't defend yourself--you knew your place, and you submitted or you took the beating you deserved like the bitch you were. And as a legislator, I'm dedicated to bringing back those good old days."
