    Question Smith & Wesson AR15

I have been told that Stag Arms is making the Smith AR 15s. I also heard that Rock River is making them. The later dose not seem right given the price and length of time you have to wait to get a Rock River. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Stag and RRA parts are made by the same machining company, which is CMT, probably make the smith parts as well. So chances are yes their pretty much all the same components just assembled at the different companies. Sometimes thats all that matters. Barrels are made by different companies though but the receivers are pretty much all the same.

stag is the retail outlet of CMT.

CMT also makes a lot of the parts that go into RRA and many other ARs.

when they first came out, the S&W MP15 was just a rebranded stag with some goodies attached to it. however, i have read that that is not the case any longer. i dunno, though.

I was talking to a factory rep several weeks ago about this. He told me that S&W is making their own forged receivers. I do know that we got a flyer from S&W offering stripped lowers for sale recently.
