Do you have weak hands or forearms? Try this.
My dad got this idea from somewhere, made one and gave it to me. It works really well. All you need is a round weight, a piece of string or twine or paracord, and a round piece of wood about a foot long (at least). Measure the distance the string needs to be to for it to reach the ground if you attach it to the piece of wood at the center and hold the piece of wood directly out infront of you. Then attach the string to the center of the wood by drilling a hole through it and securing it. Attach the other end of the string to the weight.
Stand straight, put your arms out parallel to the ground, and unwind the string at a comfortable but challenging pace so that the weight slowly moves to the ground, and when it gets there, keep going until the weight comes back up to the piece of wood. Even after one time doing this, you'll feel the burn. You can keep going as long as you can stand it, but it will burn pretty quick. You can also hold the bar above your head at different angles to alter the muscles it affects and the challenge it provides.
Thank me later.

I saw the same weight/string/dowel rod idea in a magazine back in the late 60's. I think it was to prep for hunting season.

Re: Do you have weak hands or forearms? Try this.
I remember in the military our base gym has this thing. All it was is a 10lb free weight attached to a wooden board by string. Works great for forearms especially since there isn't many weight work outs out there to work them. Well, that I know of.
