range off of rt 380 question.
A few years ago I went to a range off of rt 380 but I don't remember where it is. I think its one of the tobyhanna exits. It was in the woods right before state game land, I had to drive over a small bridge over a stream. Does anybody know where it is?

yes its a SGL range very easy to find right on 423, minutes off of 380.
it does require a hunting license or PA range permit. search tobyhanna range on google maps it will find it.

The range at the sgl 127 is closed you have to use the one by the state DOT yard on 435 in Tobyhanna exit. I know the range at 127 had the little bridge that your talking of, that road ran along the stream.

Hey Q, wow thanks for the update. Yup, that was the range I was talking about. How do you get to the range you're talking about.

I forget the exit number, but it is the one for the Tobyhanna Army Depot. Assuming you will be headed North from Long Pond, you will make a left at the stop sign. The range will be on the right side of the road immediately before the PennDot building, if I remember correctly.

Breadman you are correct. Tobyhanna exit off of 380 left at stop sign about 3/4 mile out. Now thats if op is coming from Long Pond. He could also go out to 423 by the mexican restaurant and make a right and take the country route.

Re: range off of rt 380 question.
Go there on 380. You'll only have to pay attention for a minute or two on 423. That way, you can enjoy the winding backroad on the way back.
I might have to head out there sometime soon. I've had a Ruger GSR for almost a year and haven't even fired it yet and just got my hunting license for the year.
