    Default Non-lethal Weapons

I was reading a very good article today about concealed carry. The author 20 year veteran of police force recommended that you have your conceal carry and a secondary nonlethal weapon. He suggested that you have some kind of nonlethal force that you could use as For minor incidents or non-life-threatening incident.

He highly recommend pepper spray. What I've noticed is pepper spray is not legal in the city of Philadelphia. Seeing that I work in Philadelphia and that most my work is done in federal and state buildings I'm not able to conceal carry. Further pepper spray is not allowed in federal and state buildings. What might be another alternative For the nonlethal weapon.

    Thank you, Nick.

Carry blown-up photograph of Feinstein on your belt, and deploy it when necessary. 100% success rate stopping male attackers.

I have been thinking about this a lot in the wake of the Zimmerman trial, and I have come to the decision that carrying a non-lethal deterrent such as pepper spray (along with a firearm) would be a wise move. Can anyone recommend a good (compact and effective) spray?

I know that Fox Labs makes a very highly recommended product. I will be purchasing some soon, but do not have any first hand experience myself just yet.

I carry Sabre brand spray for about the last year. I just got the one that has the metal container with a pocket clip, it has held up good but the metal does have some small dents and dings in it. When I replace it I might get the one that has the plastic case around it, I carry mine in my front weak hand pocket and I am starting to worry that the can might get punctured and release into my pocket. I think I would prefer to be sprayed in the face than have it go off in my front pocket.

Unfortunately, I think carrying pepper spray might be a liability -- I could see a jury ruling against someone in a self-defense situation for using a firearm when pepper spray was available.

Just being practical here. When I'm not CCing, I keep my pepper spray close by. I've never been in a situation where I've needed either one. I'm always careful where I go.
