    Default Why no Carbon Frames

I was wondering why everyone says to stay away from AR's like the Carbon Bushmaster? What is up with this?

Because they are cheap junk. Plastic upper, plastic lower, no forward assist, no dust cover and it is a Bushmaster.

The poor bastard whom owns the carbon 15 below bought it for $1k took it to the range once and its busted. Junk.

Pretty much everything that was stated above. A few friends of mine got them and after fondling them once you can tell they are straight junk.

The one thing I noticed the most was a binding of the charging handle. Instead of a nice smooth charging stroke I got a gritty binding charge.

Nice Post, I was wondering about them myself, I figured a carbon (Plastic) lower might be Ok, But definitely not the upper, But after reading this post, I wouldn't trust either.

I saw one a few weeks back, it was tempting, Some off brand with a Plastic Lower mated to a basic upper, It even came with BUIS both Front/back - It was going for less than $700 ~ like I said, It was tempting, But Now I know The rest of the Story.

Good choice on waiting until you had more information! You're much better off saving a little while longer and buying something with quality that is worth the money.
