Question regarding reciprocity/transport PA to FL
Traveling to florida in November and wanted to bring a pistol. I have a PA ltcf and will be traveling on I95 south. Can I travel with a firearm in the car thru Maryland, Virginia, NC, SC, Georgia and florida and keep the pistol in the resort room? What state could I CC if we stopped?

Re: Question regarding reciprocity/transport PA to FL
You'll have to unload and store it going thru MD. You can carry it thru VA, NC...stick it in glovebox or center console, loaded is fine, going thru SC...then carry again GA and FL.

Re: Question regarding reciprocity/transport PA to FL
If your hotel stop happens to be in SC - SC law specifically provides for carrying to/from the vehicle and the place where hotel or occupancy taxes have been paid(motel/hotel). Glovebox and console carry is legal provided the compartment has a lid that closed.

Re: Question regarding reciprocity/transport PA to FL
Yep and glove box or console carry as long as there is a lid...Georgia has reciprocity with PA rest stops used to be illegal but they arent anymore. i assume youre just passing thru GA(in fact you will ride right by me on I95 before you cross into FLorida) but here is a great link to GA laws www.georgiapacking.org/law.php
if you stop at a restaurant that sells booze its ok to carry and even have a drink dont drink and drive though!! bars are illegal to carry into but they are few and far between in Georgia(a good rule of thumb is if they sell booze on sundays they arent a bar)
in florida make sure you dont sit in the bar area of any restaurant at all its illegal...
