can't find
model # of a Savage 16 gauge shotgun I inherited. It says ''fox sterlingworth'' and the 3721--. Any info would appreciated such as age, value, etc. thanks joe

Sterlingworth is the model, Fox's basic gun, sold new for about $40.. Savage bought Fox and built them for a few years, commonly referred to as a NY FOX. Your's was made in the early 30's. Value would be up to $1200 depending on condition. You can Google Fox serial numbers and get an exact year of manufacture.
IT MAY HAVE SHORT CHAMBERS, GET IT CHECKED BEFORE YOU SHOOT IT!!!!!
