Report: Bloomberg hosting fundraiser for Sen. Manchin
Report: Bloomberg hosting fundraiser for Sen. Manchin
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (D) is hosting a fundraiser for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) at his Manhattan home, BuzzFed is reporting.
His group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, has run ads thanking Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) for his work on a bipartisan measure, along with Manchin, to expand background checks.
Tickets for the Manchin fundraiser range from $1,000 to $5,000.

I wouldn't pay $1,000 to $5,000 for someone I like.

Re: Report: Bloomberg hosting fundraiser for Sen. Manchin
Ya know, when they have such expensive fundraisers it really baffles me how so many people are foolish enough to stick with the William Jennings Bryan era nonsense that somehow the D party identifies itself with people of modest means in any other way than creating the very poverty they claim to champion.
"You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws--that's insane!" -- Penn Jillette
"To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic." -- Ted Nugent
