Smart Gun Tech raises its head again...
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. We use a fingerprint reader at work to ID alot of stuff..it works about 1 time in ten tries and is allegedly the 'best thing around'. Same problem you'd have w a GUN depending upon your FP to fire..not to mention all the other problems associated w SGT. Grrrr Like Eric Bana(Hoot) said in Black Hawk Down..while wiggling his trigger finger..."This is MY safety"

Re: Smart Gun Tech raises its head again...
So what is the point of the technology besides creating a variable for a gun to malfunction/not-function when intended to?
ETA: Slogan, "So technologically safe that sometimes even YOU can't use it!"My feedback thread: http://forum.pafoa.org/feedback-109/219616-rxm.html

Re: Smart Gun Tech raises its head again...
It's like the libturds' touchey-feelie wind turbine crap: generate some electricity but cost way more than std generating plants, and kill 1000s of wild birds in the process. The libs love to tout "smart guns" but do libs really know anything ABOUT guns anyways??? IMHO SG tech is a thing looking for a purpose. There are waay too many reasons NOT to have a SG IMHO:
1. damage to electronics, battery dead, gun submerged etc etc
2. EMP attack
3. yer finger print gets damaged.
4 you lose that finger
5. or the whole hand/arm is injured ...u need to shoot w other hand
6. u get shot and buddy needs your gun to help u
7. u wanna sell the gun
8 .gov shuts down that system..do not doubt that they could try it.
I could go on..it is a bad system. period.

This tech should be a lead by "example" type of thing, yeah that's it, sure.
First every politician and liberal media gets it added to their computer and car. This way they can experience first hand how well it works in the real world.
The .gov would never want access or control over them, would they???

Re: Smart Gun Tech raises its head again...
When and if this happens will be the same day I lose all of my guns in a boating accident.
I can predict the future in case you were wondering.

Re: Smart Gun Tech raises its head again...
All things electronic can be overridden given the person has the skill to do so... However, this is why the "latest greatest" aint all that great. I like my "analog" guns just fine, and have no need for smart guns. My safety is my booger hook off the bang switch and that stuff between my ears.
Why Smart guns are no good?
Lets look at the smart PHONE. If it gets too hot, it overheats and fries the internals and no longer functions.
Lets look at the RFID hotel key cards. Sometimes the programming malfs and the card doesnt do a damn thing.
Lets look at a cars keyFOB. Sometimes they just STOP working, just wore out.
Lets look at fingerprint/palm scan safes. If you dont have the perfect touch on them, it denies you.
Fingerprint time clocks? Better hope your print is 100% clean and dry or it wont accept it.
The list can go on for ages. Ill keep my "old fashion analog" guns thank you
