Beretta Forend Flange Broken Off - Still OK to Shoot?
Last week while taking the barrel off of my Beretta A303 to clean it, the flange on the end of the forearm stoke broke loose/off. It was tack welded in four places and I'm assuming that the years of disassembly for cleaning finally wore them out. The flange doesn't appear to have a function from what I can tell other than to provide a metal surface for the lug to contact when you tighten it and maybe to let some gas escape after firing. I'm supposed to shoot skeet tomorrow and then a charity trap event on Saturday. It seems that it would be OK to shoot it anyway as everything screws together nice and tight, but I thought perhaps I'm missing something?
Specifically, the front part of #113 as viewed at http://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/...-shotgun-parts.Last edited by Argentum; June 24th, 2013 at 08:42 PM. Reason: added diagram
