Bucks Co. Courthouse does not issue receipts for firearms check
I was at the Bucks County District Courthouse today, taking my brother to get his LTCF. When I checked in my firearm, they did not give me a receipt. I asked for one, and they said they do not have a way to issue any.
I informed them they are required to by law, but they kinda just shrugged it off. I didn't make a big deal out of it, since I was working in a timeframe to get in and out.
You can read about the whole encounter/dialogue in detail in my OC log, post #46. Clicky clicky

York County doesn't exactly issue a receipt either, you get a bright red plastic card embossed with the number of your locker. So at least we get something.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Philadelphia has you hold onto the key. Sheriff Officers inform you that the key is your receipt.

I hate it, but yeah, Bucks gives you nothing! It really chaps my ass that every time I have to go up there, it happens. And every time I it happens, I have entirely too much on my schedule to give them a ration of shit. One day!

You possibly could make up your own receipt, in two parts, with blanks for date, time, officer's name, gun make, model, etc.
Have them sign one that you keep and give them the other to hold.
Yeah, I know they're supposed to do it, but at least it would be something...if they would accommodate you.
And contact the sheriff and tell him he's not following the law!
