So Proud of my Mom!!!
So today my mom came home from food shopping and she had a encounter at Walmart with the cashier. Now she does not carry but my dad and I do and I never really knew her viewpoint on it. Im a little shocked and happy at what happened today. So my mom was checking out and was talking to the cashier when the cashier mentioned about having to park all the way at the end of the parking lot. This is not word for word but went something along these lines.
Cashier: I hate walking to the end of the parking lot, especially because I work overnights its scary.
Mom: Well why don't you carry a gun?
Cashier: Oh no I don't like guns
Mom: Well it will at least protect you
Cashier: No I would never, I hate it when people carry here in the store
Mom: Really I think its good that people carry, this way if something happens, people can protect us.
Cashier: No no no I dont think guns do any good
Mom: Well remember the school shooting with the little kids, if somebody had a gun, all those kids would still be alive
At that point the lady kind of shut up, and then my mom suggested that she at least carry mace if shes scared.
That was the end of it and I for one am so proud of my mom, I would of never thought her to actually be a gun rights advocate. Especially on her own when my dad or me wasnt even there. I gave my mom a big hug after she told me the story

I hope she keeps it up! That's absolutely awesome. We need a few million more good ladies like her.

Go Mom!
My mom probably says to her friends and family, "Yes, he's still carrying that awful thing. I can't believe I raised him."
But if a stranger made a snide comment, she'd say, "Well I hope he puts ten holes in you before he shoves it up your ass!"
"Mom, I appreciate it, but please stop! Come on, let's go now...please..."

Re: So Proud of my Mom!!!
Nice goin', Mom. She handled the conversation with grace and dignity so the cashier didn't appear too foolish. Great suggestion to mention the cashier could try carrying mace as an alternative.

That is an awesome story. Go moms. My mother of 75 just got her first gun. Sig 38 and a lctf to boot. She's in great shape and is good with the gun. She's started some defensive shooting classes as well. I gotta' say it makes me feel a bit better knowing she can protect herself. I can can't always be there.
