Default Family Fun Day - Rockwell Tactical & Morr Outdoors present - July 20th, 2013

Come and gather with us as we celebrate Independence and Freedom. This is an event for the whole family, with activities for everyone! It will be a chance to relax, have some fun, and get to know new people.
    Activities will include:
    Shooting Competition
    Nerf bow “hunt”
    Dessert Contest
    Gun Beauty Competition
    Bounce House
    and more…

A Shooting Competition will begin at 9 AM and is limited to a maximum of 36 shooters, so sign up NOW to reserve your spot! This will be a two-gun competition (pistol and rifle) where you will be engaging multiple targets with distances ranging from 5 to 150 meters. You must shoot both rifle and pistol to be eligible to win a Prize.

Prizes are as follows and will be awarded to the top 3 competitors(based on total points):
1st Place Shooter: A new Springfield Armory XD-S .45ACP Pistol
2nd Place Shooter: 300 rounds of 55 grain PMC .223 ammunition
3rd Place Shooter: 5 Magpul PMAG 30-round 5.56 NATO Polymer Magazines for the AR15/M4/M16 Platform

A Gun Beauty Competition will be going on throughout the day. Bring your favorite gun and see how it stands up to everyone else’s. This is an open competition for anything that can be classified as a firearm. If anything, it's a good excuse to finally clean your weapon!

A Dessert Contest will be held. Bring your favorite dessert and show off your cooking skills. The only rule is it must be homemade. Judging will be based on appearance and taste (mostly taste).

Prizes for the winners of the Gun Beauty Competition and Dessert Contest will include products and services from our friends at: Morr Outdoors, Rockwell Tactical Group, Domari Nolo Consulting, Viper Holsters, Tec-shield Elite and Shelf-Reliance.

In addition to the above contests, there will be numerous activities for kids of all ages, such as: face painting, a bounce house, Hunt with Nerf bow (we will be suckering someone into wearing a deer or bear costume), fishing, Air Gun/BB Gun shoot, coloring books, and more.

Lunch will be served from approx 1:00PM to 2:00PM. The menu will feature: all-beef hot dogs, cheeseburgers, chips, drinks and desserts from the competition. Contact us if you would like to bring a side dish to share.
The event is free to attend, but you must register to eat lunch. The cost for lunch is $12 per person or $30 per family. This will give you a pass or receipt which will allow you to eat. The cost of registration for the Shooting Competition is $42. You must register online for the Shooting Competition, but you can register online or at Morr Outdoors for the food.

Less then a month to go. If you haven't registered yet do it soon, limited openings for the 2 gun shoot and 1st prize is sweet.

A Shooting Competition will begin at 9 AM and is limited to a maximum of 36 shooters, so sign up NOW to reserve your spot! This will be a two-gun competition (pistol and rifle) where you will be engaging multiple targets with distances ranging from 5 to 150 meters. Scoring will be based on accuracy and time. You can use your hunting rifle, vintage weapons, AR or AK (basically, anything centerfire) and a centerfire pistol. Guns with scopes, optical sights, fiber optics, battery powered optics or just plain-old iron sights are permitted, but you may not swap out any optics during the competition. You may only use one rifle and one pistol during the entire competition, so choose wisely! You should plan to bring about 50 rounds of rifle and 50 rounds of pistol ammunitions for the competition. Sorry, no rimfires (i.e. .22 cal) will be eligible for prizes, but can still compete, for fun.

IROSS45 any chance of getting a description of how the shoot will be scored and shot, how many pistol mags will be needed rifle mags type of targets things like that. seems that a guy with a manual hunting rifle will be at a disadvantage over a tricked out AR especially for time on reloads???

I don't know the answer to your question, best thing would be to e-mail Rockwell direct at:

    info@rockwelltactical.com

I'm sure most people will be using AR's or AK's but no matter what you shoot the idea is to have fun.
