Hadn't heard of it. I mainly play strategy games (like Civilization) or FPS (I'm going to start playing Battleground: Europe with some friends whenever I get the time.) Not so much into the MMORPGs.

Awesome, another Civ fan here, too. Only PC game I still play, and I'm still as addicted to it now as I was when I was first introduced to Civ 2.

Cool. I started with the first version in 1992, been playing some version of it off and on since. Do you have Beyond the Sword yet?

yes, I picked it up a month ago. I haven't loaded it yet, though. Sometime soon. Am I missing good stuff?

Yes, I like it a lot, but even with the latest version (3.13) it's still a little buggy. There is one more patch that is currently being worked on, but until that's released, I suggest that you use the 'unofficial' patch here:
