Default Baffle strike on AAC Omni

Well, I knew it was inevitable and bound to happen some time but a little while ago while shooting my shorty AR (11.5 inches) I ended up having a baffle strike/end cap strike around the end of the 3rd mag of the day. The end cap has a 2mm or so chunk removed and there appears to be some sort of partial obstruction in the bore. I contacted AAC's customer service yesterday by phone (after multiple attempts, my schedule sucks) and with in 30 mins of getting of the phone with them they sent me a form to fill out and sure enough this AM I have a RMA tag in my email inbox, they are paying shipping (UPS) both ways and estimate the repairs as taking 5-10 days (their typical estimate). I'm hoping to get it shipped today or tomorrow morning, will follow up with some pic's tonight before I ship it and when I get it back. So far I've been happy with AAC's customer service, I have heard mixed reviews so we shall see if this continues.

Any idea of something that might have been out of the ordinary?

Nothing that I can tell, I've checked the alignment through the bore w/ the can on after the strike and it didn't seem off at all, couldn't pass a dowel through though because of the partial obstruction. Ammo was American Eagle Tactical AE223 (AE223J) 55gr lot # SMQ12C034-300. I had checked tightness of the suppressor before the last mag was shot and it didn't click any tighter (which should be sufficient to indicate it is properly seated) however when taking it off I did not think to check to make sure it was still all the way clicked in.

Here are some pix, the first 3 are of the end cap and the last one is kind of through the bore, I haven't been able to get a good one straight down through the bore. It's boxed up now and ready to go to UPS first thing monday morning on AAC RMA.

Damn, I was hoping for an cap kiss at worst case. That's a full out strike.
Glad to see AAC customer service starting off on a good foot. Hope they get you fixed up and back to shooting in short time.
