WW2 Reading Airshow?
Anyone been?
Found this on their website: WEAPONS
• FIREARMS AND WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED FROM BEING BROUGHT ONTO THE EVENT GROUNDS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND WILL BE CONFISCATED BY SECURITY PERSONNEL AT THE ADMISSIONS GATE. (NOTE: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO PRE-REGISTERED RE-ENACTOR GROUPS. SEE THE FOLLOWING SECTION)
Do they do patdowns or have metal detectors?

Re: WW2 Reading Airshow?
Been there. The best WWII event and airshow around. Don't remember if they searched or not, but I personally wouldn't risk losing my Handgun

How ironic. Airshow/history lesson and you cant exercise your 2nd amendment right.

Re: WW2 Reading Airshow?
You should be good to go if you conceal it real well. They only check bags and that's about it. I carry a 380 in pocket of pants or cargo pocket. Dress in a ww2 uniform and open carry a 1911.

I haven't decided yet. There is a show in Morgantown too. I imagine the same rules will apply

Re: WW2 Reading Airshow?
GO! It's so worth it. And, that's why they call it "concealed." No "security" is taking any firearm of mine anyway...I'd just leave if something happened.
Hunting is NOT a 2nd Amendment Activity

Re: WW2 Reading Airshow?
Ask gunlawyer about escheat. They may lack the authority to confiscate, he can put a finer point on this detail.

Re: WW2 Reading Airshow?
It is a good airshow, worth seeing IMO. I went a couple years ago, and security was pretty lax, there certainly weren't any pat downs or metal detectors.
