Re: No holster carry?
Once, the loops on my old holster broke and I had to go to Philly that day. I was leaving the house at 4am, so obviously no gun stores open. I wasn't about to go to fucking Philly without a weapon. So I popped out my chambered round and carried Mexican for the day. Tightened my belt super tight because I was terrified that the gun would slip into my pants and clatter to the ground by my foot.
The gun was shifting around constantly. I was repositioning it like every ten minutes, and it was very uncomfortable, not to mention unstable. I bought a cheap holster as soon as places started to open to use for the day.
Bottom line: It felt very awkward, tedious, and unsafe. I would not do it again.Everyone should have an AK-47

Yeah I knew it was a bad idea, posting it confirmed it for me. Picked up a middle of the road tagua OWB holster. Now I have something for the range and to carry. I think I may just wait to get a smaller carry gun for an IWB carry. They had a nice little PM9 I could probably pocket carry.

Re: No holster carry?
I've been carrying my Smith Wesson 340pd with a clipdraw for years now and never had it fall. The little Smith's have a 10lb trigger pull so I feel perfectly safe carrying it that way. Let's face it holsters suck. A pain in the ass to take on and off. Let alone digging in your body. I should know I have a box of them in the basment. Now for an auto different story. One mans opinion.

Re: No holster carry?
Negative on an un-protected trigger for me ..regardless of trigger pull. Too many possibilities for an ND/AD.
Even when I am doing really heavy yard work I don't pocket carry my LCR (Nemesis) ,I slip my .32 Tomcat into my Nemesis with the safety on just in case ....
Just my own personal way of limiting Mr. Murphy's law . Do what you want but wether I a OWB,IWB,or pocket carry I always have a shrouded trigger. To me a holster is a necessary evil of CC'ing shop around ad don't go cheap and you will find a holster that works for you.Last edited by Zeke2A; June 2nd, 2013 at 11:04 AM.

Re: No holster carry?
Only time I've carried without a holster is when I carried my Shield in my cargo shorts pocket with the safety on. There would never be speed record in drawing the weapon...but I thought I would be comfortable on a walk without printing in my owb.
I wasn't. comfortable OR prepared.
Mexican? No effing way.
