Default Up for a little knowledge-spreading?

My buddy and I have been kicking around an idea of mine this morning, and I wanted to see what y'all thought.

I wanted to see about finding a nice weekend, and maybe setting up a tent/easy-up kinda deal, and getting a bunch of LTCF applications printed up, as well as PAFOA flyers, and get folks to sign up for their LTCF. A lot of folks don't know the law, and don't understand their rights as thoroughly as we do. Any further thoughts/suggestions? Anyone interested?

I like the idea. But you need to fill in a few details. When would you try to do this? Where would you set up?

Not to discourage but I see that as about pointless as trying to get people to join the NRA. Yeah you might help a few people on the fence but overall I think you might be wasting time...

I wish you the best of luck though since it would at least help a few.

Yeah, good point^. It'd be in the Lehigh Valley area, but I don't mind others running with the same idea. Sometime within the next 2-3 months...still working on all the finer details, and looking for ideas/suggestions at this point.

A flea market could be a good spot. lots of people go there. Generally cheap to set up a table. Rest rooms and a concession stand would be a plus.

Blue Ridge Flea Market in Saylorsburg is central to NE PA right off 33. I think the tables are around $12 a day. Concession stand and bathrooms provided.

I think it is a great idea.

When I started to OC two women approached me at stores and asked me about it. Both were interested in getting LTCF. I brought them packets with application, PA Open Carry gun rights flier, a list of hyperlinks for info, and my phone number

    They both got LTCF.

Ultimately, the only way we will preserve firearm rights in this country is by getting more people to go shooting, buy guns, and carry guns.

I think 'sign-up drives' are an excellent idea. Those who want to, could do so very conveniently. It might entice more to get theirs due to that convenience. Offer to help with any questions, have a sheet explaining to turn it in to local sheriff or PD if philly.

One can also state why they should get a LTCF, even if they don't want to carry now. During declared emergencies, when you really might need to carry, you can't without a LTCF. That is enough reason right there.
