Training courses
All - my wife and I are looking for an intro to pistol course. She is heavily involved in girlscouts and intends to eventually get her NRA rifle range master certification. As such she wants to take classes in the NRA series. We were going to take classes at A&S but given that they are booked for the rest of the year, that doesn't seem possible. I have looked at the F.I.R.E. institute and at C&G arms info for the courses. As far as I can tell they aren't NRA courses. So - is there anywhere around that offers them and is reasonable. I'd really like to have like a 1 day intro that has us firing around 100 - 200 rounds in that day.
Thanks.

Re: Training courses
A&S has posted new classes. You can sign up as a standby for a class since some people sign up, then don't follow through.

Re: Training courses
If you feel like coming up to Mercer County, we can get you into Basic Pistol, then Personal Protection in the Home, and then Personal Protection Outside the Home. All very solid classes to start out with.

Re: Training courses
We might be able to come up to mercer. My wife works right now up in Venango, so it wouldn't be much out of our way. Can you let me know details (post or PM) regarding the club and courses?

Re: Training courses
Has anyone taken the WCCC (Westmoreland County Community College) courses for basic pistol and defense? I saw they have one this summer.

Hello all, just wanted to let you know about a company that my wife and I own: Urban Survivor Defensive Handgun Training. www.urbansurvivortraining.com please check us out on the web, facebook and twitter. We do private personal instruction by appointment for indivduals, couples, familys and small groups. We mainly train at the Army Navy Indoor Pistol Range in Latrobe but occasionally do a remote event should you have an appropriate venue. We are an NRA insured company. Please take a look at our courses and our qualifications and see why we are different.
