Ambidextrus female friendly semi auto?
Any suggestions. Prefferably in the under $500 range.

Re: Ambidextrus female friendly semi auto?
With the proper training, they can all be female friendly. I know some women that can handle and shoot better than some men.
What experience level are we speaking of?
What caliber? A Walther P22 holds 10 .22lr and is compact, no recoil to speak of but something tells me you are looking for something else?? If no experience... suggest you start her off with a .22

A friend of mine has a Walther pk380 in pink, the slide is easy to rack and the gun is big enough that recoil is minimal but still concealable

Re: Ambidextrus female friendly semi auto?
I guess more info would help. Experience level is novice but won't be by the time I'm through with her. I'm looking for some thing for her to carry probably 9mm. She's left handed being the main issue. And by female friendly I mean easily concealed in her body, some thing that shoots soft isn't a bad idea either.

Walther PPS should fit the bill nicely. Little on the expensive side, but she'd be getting a good gun.

How big is she? Different sized guns will fit different sized hands.
My suggestion is to take her to a shop that has a good selection and let her hold many. I would further suggest you drive up 202 to King of Prussia and visit King Shooters Supply. They have a nice selection and I've seen them to be very good working with new shooters and especially ladies. Ask for Pat, she is the best.

Re: Ambidextrus female friendly semi auto?
If you find that perfect gun in 9mm, let me know. I'm a lefty shooter, and I have basically just learned how to deal with the right hand controls. Since most carry guns do not have safety's, it just learning to manipulate the mag release, and decide how you release the slide. I release the mag with the index finger of my right hand and slingshot the slide. Some of them work better slingshotting then others.
I carry a Kahr CW9. Pretty small gun but I just don't see it totally concealing on a skinny girl. Also, the smallest 9mm will bark pretty good because of the size/weight.
Beretta Nano maybe? Not sure if it has any ambi controls or not. Super small ambi control 9mm with low recoil? Good luck my friend.
