Default holster for S&W model 642

    hey everyone

i need recommendations on IWB and/or OWB holsters for my S&W model 642 (38 special). this is mainly a backup gun but will be carried when my full size XD45 doesnt fit with what im wearing (which is rare). material isnt a big concern i.e. leather, kydex, etc.

    thanks for your advice

For OWB, Simply Rugged makes a nice holster at a good price. For IWB, Side Guard Holsters makes a very good holster too.
Just make sure the top of your IWB holster is reinforced. This make it much, much easier to reholster.

Go with the Desantis Nemesis. It a pocket holster but it will fit.and pair of pants and if you are running put real quick just slide in your pocket and your good to go. Since I got the Nemesis holster it is easier to concealed carry and I do not.leave my house without a pistol now.

^^^This is what I carry my 442(same gun except in black finish) in.

Although my goto recommendation for IWB is a Crossbreed Supertuck but I've never tried one with a revolver.
