Default Is this a good deal?

I have the chance to buy a S&W 908 and a Ruger 98, both in 9mm for $400. Is this a good deal? Tell me your thoughts.

400 for both, I'd say that's a good deal. I'm assuming you mean a p89. Or p95. Either way they are both solid dependable guns, if a bit clunky. If you've handled them and like the feel then great. As for the 908, third generation smiths are a great bargain. Can't go wrong with these. I'd say both guns are closer to 300 each right now, so that sounds like a deal I'd jump on.

I forgot to mention that they are both used. Is that still a good buy?

    Yeah,
The Ruger is built like a tank and if you decide you do not like it let me know.

Yup. As long as they are decent condition they each go in the upper 200s to as high as upper 300s. They are the two 9mms i recommend to people who want dependable guns at a bargain. It's a nice combo too as the 908 is small enough to conceal easily compared to the S&W 910 and the Ruger could be a nice HD gun. Jump on it. Or tell us where the deal is. bigandy1966 could take the Ruger and I'll grab the Smith

    Must be a good deal.....
