Potential GOP Darhorse Candidate for Philly Mayor?
Heck if she was mayor I'd have to visit Philly more often! Seriously although the odds are very small just to entertain the thought of a republican mayor in Philly would be nice.

Re: Potential GOP Darhorse Candidate for Philly Mayor?
Why? New York City has a republican mayor, is that what we want?
Party affiliation alone means nothing to me.While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Potential GOP Darhorse Candidate for Philly Mayor?
Actually, once upon a time, Philadelphia was a bastion of Conservativism. In fact, the first Republican National Convention was held in Philadelphia in 1856. Then in 1951, Philadelphia elected its first Democratic mayor since 1871 (although Rudolph Blankenburg, a staunch conservative, ran as an independent on the Keystone-Democratic ticket due to widespread corruption in the city, for which Republicans were responsible). Unfortunately, the Democrats now outnumber Republicans 78% to 11%.

I'd love a repub to be mayor, but only a conservative Karen Brown was a dem who was a watered down rino at best. Philly needs a pro gun mayor, But considering the democrats have become the cancer that metastasized the whole city its time to put Philly into Hospice.
