Your caps lock button is stuck, Staples can sell you a new keyboard...

Why wait? We have good schools here, most are probably better than those liberal strongholds you guys have in NY.

My first permit, also from the mid-80's, looked just like that. It had "various" in the same blanks too, as the only handgun I owned at the time was a Ruger .22 and I didn't want to be wedded to carrying it if purchased more suitable arms.

Our present system is superior to the one we had then.
The first one to use the word "sheeple" automatically loses the argument.

It would pretty hard on the kid most likely, especially a high school age kid who has an established sense of being and friends. I speak from both sides of the issue.

I quite agree jerking your kid out of HS and moving miles away is traumatic.

You have NO IDEA how true your statement is. It's scary, but most of the gun owners up here drank the kool-aid a long time ago.

A NY-based pro-firearms forum reads like a PA anti-firearm forum. Easiest way to demonstrate it: post a topic about open carry and see what happens.

The people of NY - even the good people of upstate NY - have been without freedom for so long that they've completely forgotten what it looks like.

My dad's Jefferson Co license's were like that too. Although his guns were listed on the back.

Not that it mattered though, because the license didn't dictate what a person could carry.

Moving at the beginning of the summer is not a big deal. I was an Air Force kid, I know all about changing schools.

    I count 8 different schools from K through 10.

I graduated just fine and didn't turn into a loner writing a manifesto in the closet...

So the OP is going to wait until the kid graduates, is the kid going off to college? How will he ever cope?
If he is not, how is he going to cope when he moves here with his parents and has to find a job with total strangers?

Sorry, guess I just don't get it, maybe it could be "traumatic" to some...

My first LTCF was like that as well, I had to buy a gun before I could get the license, they put the serial number and model on the back.
