Default Looking at moving to westmoreland

How is it? NFA friendly? What are some good neighborhoods in which i could make a daily commute to monroeville in about 30minutes or less?

    Good ranges?

My wife grew up in Greensburg. It's close to I-76, which takes you right to Monroeville (about 20 minutes), except it's a toll road so it will cost you $1.25 each way I think. She lived in the section of Greensburg called Fort Allen, it's a nice little neighborhood from what I have observed.

As far as ranges, I only know of one in Youngwood...I think it's called A&S Indoor Range, nice place, pretty reasonable rates.

Im in Irwin/North Huntingdon. Back roads no toll can get you to Monroeville around 25 min. You can take the turnpike off of route 30 if you're in a real hurry.
Here I'm about halfway between Greensburg and Monroeville. It takes around 45 min to get to Pittsburgh. Pitcarin Moneroeville Sportsmans Club (where we hold groupshoots) is about 15 min away. Whiteoak gun club is about 10 min away. Trafford gun club is about 15 min away. Mckeesport sportsmans is about 15 min away. I don't know about NFA, but thats the private club ranges in the area. I like it here.

I'm in north huntingdon also, close to the allegheny line so commutes are shorter. i also work in monroeville, easy drive. also check penn township and murrysville/export, with 22 being widened, its not bad out there now.

I grew up in Monroeville, After college I purchased a home and lived in Monroeville for Seven years. I moved to North Huntingdon in 2004 & love it!!
Wasz pretty much summed it up about drive times & all the local Sportsmen clubs. I recommend North Huntingdon, it is a great place to raise a family.
