how much dirt? Check your local gun ranges. They can use it for the backstops.

No other low spots in your lawn?
I always can find some place where it has eroded or been tramped down.

People are always looking for "clean fill". You may even be able to sell it or at least trade it for some beer.

Too bad you're not close to where I live. My buddy just put a sign out at his building requesting fill dirt.

Try calling a bulk supply place. (mulch, topsoil, gravel)
They may accept it, or know of someone who does.

Organic waste is no problem, but "dirt" isn't always accepted.

I would throw an add on craigslist. I have had pretty good luck with CL and like it was said above, people are always looking for clean fill.

I'm in your boat. Just got done rebuilding a fieldstone retaining wall that I replaced the dirt with 2b limestone. They didn't have any drain and use the dirt against the wall, guess that's why it started leaning.

Anyway, just posted an add on craigslist, hopefully someone bites.

Never thought to see if the range could use it. I'll have to shoot our club president an email.

    Thanks
