Default Ruger SP 101 used price

Looking to find what is a good used price for the SP 101 2 1/2 barrel with hammer. Hogue and factory grips included. Gun is like new with no more than 20 rounds through it. Seeing new prices on completed ads on Gunbroker for around 600. Is around 450 - 475 in great condition ok? Gun is from 2012.

I wouldn't pay more that $400 for a used SP101. My wife bought hers for $350 a few years ago.

I picked up mine used for $350 a year ago, I'd keep looking and one will pop up sooner or later if your patient.

I purchased two last year (for me and wife) for $350 each. The 2nd one came with 100rds of ammo.

    I wouldn't have paid over $400

But that was last year. Since all the recent "unpleasantness", prices on the SP101 (and revolvers in general) have risen exponentially. You would be hard pressed to find a nice one for that kind of money today. :-(

    what he said ^

people forget everything went up and u just cant walk down to the local gun shop and pick up one. It is a sellers market on any firearm right not. Hell i wouldnt pay more than 450 for a wasr and it better have some mags and ammo with it for that price. but the market says its worth around six now or a mosin for 250. so what ever your comfortable paying pay.

If someone wants to take advantage of the current panic buying, that's their prerogative. The fact still remains that a used SP101 with 2.25" barrel is only worth $350; the 3" barrel is worth around $400.

Well, that theory only applies if you don't happen to be in the market for one.

I disagree. Revolvers aren't flying off the shelves like hicap auto's. I visit 4-5 shops a week and most of them are well stocked on revolvers. I recently saw a mint SP101 for under $400 in a shop.

You can price it however you want, it's your gun. If you want to sell it quickly and easily, put a price of $400 or under on it and sell it locally. If you "need" more, sell it on gunbroker.....that's where the price craziness truly exists...

It is worth whatever someone will pay. Prices are dictated by the current market and sometimes change quickly. It also depends on where someone lives. Supply is greater in some areas and less in others.

To me the gun is worth about $250 with the 3" barrel, the snubby is worth about $100.

My decent condition model 10 with a lot of honest wear and an unknown number of rounds through it is worth $350to me.
    Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.
