Re: Toomey sold us out
How many years will go by, innocent persons defense money spent, jail time, will there be before the police get proper training for the new and changing laws?
The question is, will you be on your feet or your knees?

Now that he's opened the door, keep a close eye on the amendments that get added and then how he votes on the final bill.
I for one believe that UBC will ultimately be a pathway for registration. I base my belief on what is currently happening with the ACA (obamacare) and how several provisions appear to now be violating HIPPA regulations.

I voted for him. I sent money. My family voted for him and sent money. My in-laws did as well. He's done. When Policticians think their agenda is more important than that of their constituency, it's time for them to move on.

My email.
From your biography page, "elected to the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania on a platform of limited government, economic and job growth, and restoring fiscal responsibility.". How do you propose to limit government when you breath life back into Gun Control/Registration.
You have officially lost my vote, the vote of most law abiding gun owners and veterans. Congrats, you are in the same class as Arlen Specter. Did King Obama promise you your own little kingdom for turning your back on the US Constitution?. Enjoy your first and last term, Senator Turncoat.....
Now we must keep our word and vote him and Casey to the unemployment line.

Re: Toomey sold us out
Gun Owners of America say that there is a section that Schumer put an amendment in the bill to HIPPA that will mean everyone who has seen or is seeing a therapist, taking anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, or other drugs to be determined, can lose their guns (confiscation) with the bill as written.
They also state that the "no national registry" portion is so full of holes that there will definitely gun registration.
It gets worse. I posted their letter on the forum. Sorry, but I can't get a link to it at the moment.

I don't believe any analysis even if it is published by the bill sponsor until I've read the actual legislation.
I just checked Thomas.loc and the bill has not been filed yet.

Re: Toomey sold us out
The bill explicitly bans the federal government from creating a national firearms registry, and imposes serious criminal penalties (a felony with up to 15 years in prison) on any person who misuses or illegally retains firearms records. So does this mean the PA State Police sales data base will be illegal??
