hehe...funny poll options...i can't vote because none of them are actually correct, though.
it is "soda pop"...
with soda being that adjective and pop being the noun.
therefore, if you are going to refer to it by one word, the correct one would be "pop", not soda.
calling it "soda" would be like calling my red truck a "red" rather than a "truck".
sister to me: "hey brother, can i get you to to pick up a load of top soil for me in your red?"
(disclaimer...all of the above may actually be factually incorrect...but it makes sense.

What about people like me who grew up calling it Sodapop?
These days I call it Soda though...
Now, what's funny is when you go down to Oklahoma and ask for a Coke... and they ask you what flavor? then start listing off Sprite, Orange, Rootbeer, Diet or Regular
