Question regarding transport for 18 year old

Okay, I'm 18 years old and I drive an extended cab pickup truck(so no trunk), usually when I go to the range I only take my Remington 700 .243 and my Rem 770 .300 win mag which is no big deal, I keep the rifles in hard cases in the back seat and the ammo in the console And glovebox. My girlfriend who is also 18 is wanting me to teach her to shoot a handgun. My question is, at the age of 18 can I legally transport my fathers handguns from my house to a shooting range? (The range is only about 1 mile from my house if it makes any difference)

Yes, but only to the range and back, without any other stops. Ammo must be kept seperate

^Correct, and you can only do this with a handgun that you own, or one that your father/mother gave to you, or one that your grandfather/grandmother gave to you. Even if they only gave it to you for the day.

Anything else would be an illegal transfer. Once you are 21 and have your LTCF anyone can lend you their handgun.

Yes, it's weird and f*cked-up, but so is most of the Uniform Firearms Act.
