PA ltcf denied can i carry on my utah permit

I went to renew my PA ltcf and was denied, I plan to appeal can I carry on my Utah license while awaiting appeal.

I'm not entirely sure on how that would work, but I remember when I took my Utah course, one of the requirements was to show proof of a permit from my state of residence.

You not having a permit from your state of residence now, I don't know if that would in turn invalidate your Utah permit or not.

It also depends on the PA AG's rabid campaign against allowing in-PA CC without a PA LTCF. At least, a couple of states (FL, VA) have already been axed by her highness. Whether UT is, or will become, one of them, I don't know.

If you are prohibited in PA under 6105, you cannot possess a gun even if you have a permit from another state and are legal to possess a gun in that state.

It doesn't invalidate the UT permit....just won't be able to renew it without the PA LTCF

I was thinking the same was probably true, but I don't think I'd want to risk it if it were me. I think I'd at least check with UT, maybe anonymously.

Without knowing the reason for denial the only possible answers are "no" or "maybe"; "yes" isn't an option based on the info available.

I pled guilty to cruelty to animals which is a misdemeanor 1 however it is unique in that max sentence is two years. this was five years ago since then i have received a picss reversal of denial and my pa act 235. I have had to appeal for each of these in order to have the issuing authority read the statute which mandates two years as max sentence. I also have a C and R License.

You would need your PA LTCF to renew the Utah CFP.


ETA: Without the Utah statutes in front me, I cannot say for sure whether they have any stipulations involving animal abuse. They may, however, have grounds to revoke your CFP based on a conviction involving moral turpitude, which may apply in this case.

Since the charge was apparently not disqualifying, you were probably denied your LTCF due to the Character Clause.

I would contact a lawyer. I know Gunlawyer001 on here is experienced with handling LTCF appeals.
