Default Trade Ruger for Walther .22

I'm thinking of trading in my Ruger Mark II with the bull barrel and red dot scope (tasco) for a Walther P22. I really don't enjoy the Ruger much and the Walther just feels better in my hand. Any advice from folks with regards to reliability and concerns for the Walther?

I had a S&W 22 auto once and kind of got bored with it. I have a Walther P22 now and it is a lot more fun, not as accurate though, but I use it to just blast away. My P22 was super reliable from the start and still is. One thing I will say is that the Ruger's feel like a pistol that will last forever, my P22 has put thousands and thousands of rounds downrange with no trouble, but you can just tell it won't last forever.

If I had a P22 I'd trade with you in a heartbeat. The P22 will wear out. The Ruger will last for generations.

I agree with the wearing out bit. except for the cheap hard plastic grips, the Ruger seems indestructable.
Maybe I'll just by a P22 to plink with and save the Ruger for my future children and grand children.
I"ve got more invested in the Ruger and the scope on it than the P22 is worth. (@$400).
Funny, I have a PPKs and it feels solid. Of course, it's twice the price as a P22.

I dunno...I have a P22 and it seems pretty solid. Granted, the slide is made from light weight zinc alloy to lighten the load on the recoil spring, but it still seems well built. I've had mine apart several times and i have no complaints. I do agree though...keep the Ruger and buy a P22! You'll be twice as happy!

I have had both, now I just have the Ruger. I don't sell things often.
