Getting a CC in Ohio
My father wants to get a CC permit in Ohio. He is an Ohio resident. Is anyone here familiar with Ohio protocol? Does he have to take a gun safety class and then go to the Sheriff's office?

Re: Getting a CC in Ohio
You basically have it correct. He will need to take a safety course by an approved instructor and then submit his application to the sheriffs office.
Here are some good resources.

If you want to carry in Ohio you will need to get a licence from a state with reciprocity agreements like UT, as Ohio does not issue non-resident permits.Last edited by QuackXP; April 3rd, 2013 at 09:20 AM.
